Research Whisperer recommends…

Read this awesome Research Whisperer blog post on your research grant project as being like “a tiny little baby chicken. A precious and very, very fragile little chickie”.

It’s a great post with lots of great advice.

At the end, Rosmary Chang says:

Rosemary: This has been a fun metaphor. I’ve enjoyed aiming my rhetorical gun at chickie’s attackers.

But I’ll add in something from left field. As the chickie farmer, you’ve got to take care of the mother hen during grant season, too. And I’m talking about everything from the basics – sleepingeating vegetablesexercising, for parents saying ‘hi’ to your kids – through to (craziness!) having a night off.

I’m so pleased Rosie found them useful, and hope you do too. Self-care is so important in our research journey!
